Since its founding in 1971 by Josef Betschart, our company has stood for pioneering spirit, technical excellence, and uncompromising quality. What once began with the manufacture of electromechanical components and control cabinets has developed into highly specialized expertise in the field of high-voltage transformers and special technical solutions.

Our ability to develop and manufacture even complex high-voltage transformers for X-ray technology paved the way into medical technology. The manufacture of individual components for X-ray medicine is another key part of our offering.

Following the management buyout by P. Betschart and T. Camenzind in 2007, a new chapter began in 2025: the transition to Sangl investment company opened up additional perspectives and enabled us to strategically develop Josef Betschart AG together with Sangl GmbH & Co. KG – in line with the vision of our founder and with a clear focus on sustainable success.
